2009
Bad Economy Special!
The last half of 2008 has
been tough on everyone economically speaking.
Southern Colorado Outfitters Inc. is offering
a one time "Bad Economy Special"
archery elk hunt during the rut. The package
is 5 days guided 2 on 1, meals, lodging
and transportation to and from the Colorado
Springs Airport, for just $1950.00.The
tags are available over the counter and
the hunt will take place in unit 86. Last
year we had just under 40% success with
an 85% shot opportunity in that unit. If

Private
ranch hunts are conducted on 100,000 acres of prime
wildlife habitat. Public land hunts are in the Pike
and San Isabel National Forests as well as BLM land
and are administered through the San Carlos Ranger District.
We offer the option of clean and comfortable cabins
or, if you should desire, the wilderness experience
of wall tents in wild country.
Our
private ranch deer and elk hunts are currently producing
bull elk in the 300 to 365 class and we have harvested
mule deer bucks up to 199+.
Unit
69 and 84 hunts are in a limited draw area where the
quality of the game has been on the increase over the
past several years.
Base
camp consists of very comfy cabin accommodations with
propane heat, lights and hot showers. A hunt from this
camp will provide fond memories for years to come. Hunts
are conducted from 4-wheel drive trucks and on foot.
We have a full-time packer/wrangler and horses to transport
your kill to camp. We can make arrangements for care
of your trophy and meat upon your request. There are
numerous meat processors and taxidermists in the local
area.
